Disneyland

We had some friends ask if we wanted to take a pre-spring break vacation to Disneyland last weekend... of course we couldn't pass up that opportunity so off we headed to Anaheim.

First up, a stroller for Lauren... better to push than to carry. 28 pounds can get tiresome after a few hours!

We eased into the adventure with a leisurely ride on the carousel.

Round and round we go... a little Dramamine did us good.

Hope is a pro at Disney rides... she showed us what was worth standing in line for.

A little mid-afternoon snack to fill our bellies. Mmmm, ice cream!

Next, we made our way to the newly refurbished "It's a Small World," and loved it.

Three lucky little ducks who were well behaved and fun to be with.

Night #1... Giggles MaGoo and his 2 minions prepare for bed. Moms are REALLY tired at this point.
The next day we are rested and refreshed... ready to hit the ground running.

Lauren meanders her way around Swiss Family Robinson's tree house... now, known as Tarzan's Tree House. Can't they keep anything the same?

Matthew's first... of course because EVERYTHING's a race!

Matthew got his Pirates of the Caribbean mouse ears hat. He is wearing it backwards so everyone can see that he got his name etched in it... for FREE! I love free!

Lauren enjoyed Toon Town... everything was just her size!

California Adventure had a great Jump'in Jellyfish ride. Up and down, up and down...

Thanks to Jen and Hope who allowed us to tag along on such a great weekend!

Matthew's 7th Birthday

Matthew turned 7 on March 14th and we celbrated by inviting a few of his close friends to a local park. The weather was beautiful, the company was fantastic and the party a success! Oh yeah... the cupcake dragon cake was DELICIOUS!!!
Here are some of the characters now...

Bailey and Daniel enjoy their lunch... who doesn't like a good juice box?!?!

Katie and Lauren pose for their traditional photo together.

Eric, Matthew, Andre and Jack eat and decide which present to open first.

First up, is a gift from Matthew's teacher, Mrs. Jarvis. She and her son were sweet enough to attend the party and gave Matthew his first WebKin (plus books of course). We can't wait to see how these WebKins work!

Who sunk my Battleship???

Lego StarWars were a popular item on this year's gift list. Matthew now is able to put them together by himself - yay for me- and it provides hours of "quiet" fun!

Another treat we had this year, was that Professor Awesome from Mad Science came to show us how to do some really cool things. First, he sucked an egg into a jar. Then, we made some silly slime and super balls. Finally, Matthew got to blast off a rocket high into the sky.

Thank you Mad Science and thanks to all of our friends who attended!

As if we didn't have enough cake and presents, our family came over for dinner and more party-ing.
Happy Birthday to me...

Thanks for all of my gifts and for helping me celebrate!
